For this project, there were two main focuses. The writing and the physical response to the writing. Observational Writing was the first section of the rotation. For this part, I had to chose an area that I could write in great detail about.

I decided that the area that i was going to write about Oxford Street & Swansea Market. Instead of going to a specific location, I documented my journey.
At first, it was quite challenging because I couldn’t get my head around what should I be noting down. Theres no right or wrong answer on how I should approach this. As time was passing got more comfortable with writing in public.
After the hour out there, I had to come back and refine my text and get all the details down. Anthony gave the text a read over and said to get all the information down because it was still fresh in my head and trying and make my text read like a conversation.

Physical Response
The second half to this project, was to create a response to your writing. Had a talk with Anthony and he suggested that i should combine my text with some images. So from that I decided that my images were going to be continuous line drawing because I tend to gravitate towards that type of style because of how quick it is to get something on the page.
Photography Workshop

For this workshop, I had to take a digital image and convert that into a positive or negative photogram.
I did a series of photograms that helped develop the physical response a bit more. The whole experience was a bit of a trial and error. Trying to get into the rhythm of using the dark room again. For this workshop, I got explore different techniques that helped build my response.
