The second rotation was Shellie’s group. Were we had to create a drawing machine to create multiply work to create on top of the original lines. I chose to create three main pieces of work using one huge piece of line work. The first piece was inspired by Cy Twombly’s marking making and selected colour palette. The second piece was influenced by Zio Ziegler and how his work features bold lines that stand out from the picture underneath. Final image was done using Harold Hollingsworth as inspiration because i wanted to incorporate the rich colours and graphic sense that his images have.
Embroidery & Sewing
To further our work, Shellie’s group had a workshop with Terrie. That was a introduction to sewing machines and embroidery. I chose to recreate my Harold Hollingsworth inspired piece.
